About us
People Powered is a consultancy specialising in active and sustainable travel consultancy and project delivery services. We’re all about enabling more people to be able to walk, wheel or cycle everyday journeys.
People Powered is a partnership between Will Ainslie and Martin Gibson, both of whom have extensive experience in the sustainable transport sector. We provide a creative and innovative approach to transport consultancy and project management services to public, voluntary and private sector organisations. People Powered was founded in 2025, but builds on Will and Martin’s previous work with People Powered CIC between 2017 and 2025.
What happened to People Powered CIC?
For eight years Will and Martin ran People Powered CIC, a community interest company delivering many of the same services the duo now offer through their current business. In that time many useful projects were delivered, bringing significant benefit to the local community. In recent years activity has shifted, with the CIC no longer delivering grant-funded projects and the overhead of maintaining the CIC structure was no longer justified. The CIC ceased trading in 2025 and all assets were transferred to Keert CIC (including our Tern Cargo Bike which had been on long-term loan to them following our carbo bike trial project). The People Powered name lives on though, with the same faces and same ethos of delivering great sustainable transport consultancy services.
